Navigating the New Normal

The world is starting to turn on its axis again. That is what I keep telling everyone I run into, as they slowly start venturing out into the world. But I think the axis has shifted a bit to reflect this “new” normal.

We as a company are proud to watch how our merchants have overcome so many obstacles in the past year. Whether it has been cutting costs where they can, going virtual, contactless, only working with pick up and no inside dining… many of them rose to the challenge and came out a bit battered, but still functioning. This past year has taught everyone how to determine what is most important and how to protect it.

We are not over this obstacle yet, but there appears to be an end in sight. Many conversations we have had over this year have been about starting new ways to operate; using websites for orders, wireless terminals for payment at a distance or enabling contactless payments.

What is this new normal going to look like for us, for merchants, for business in general? It seems as we peel back the national regulations installed to keep us all safe, there will be some new version of life left on top of the old structure.

Will new technology be developed? Will the capacity of businesses still be limited in 2021, or 2022? How is that going to affect business? How will merchants determine what their new normal is? There are so many questions that come to mind. But there is one constant. We will always be protective of our merchants and how we can support them, through this pandemic and into the new normal.

Let us know how we can help you navigate the merchant processing world and generate your new normal.
