Toasting a Perfect Pairing
PolyPay is fortunate to be based out of San Luis Obispo, California, which offers a variety of unique businesses that are not common to the rest of the United States.
One of those prevalent and loved businesses is wineries. One can travel as little as ten minutes from the City Center and discover a handful of unique wineries with beautiful San Luis Obispo in the background.
Travel thirty minutes farther in either direction and one can be treated to dozens and dozens of locations that will delight any oenophile. There are over 200 wineries alone in the city of Paso Robles!
Wineries have very particular ways in which they handle their operations. Many elements come into play, including daily Tasting Room services, parties and events, harvests and Wine Club releases.
PolyPay connected with a winery software company called GrapeGears through a conversation with one of our own winery customers. We were suddenly intrigued to learn more about a company making such a difference in the wine industry.
GrapeGears software came to fruition through the ideas and efforts of the owners of Williamson Wines, based out of Healdsburg, California. Through their own experiences in running a winery, the owners knew that they needed a particular type of software to help manage its operations; with research and outreach, they could not find anything that met their needs. Rather than settle for a system that existed currently, they chose to build their own. The result was a sales and customer service platform which enables both wholesale and direct-to-consumer marketing and sales for wineries. GrapeGears then took the next step to offer their software solution to the national winery market.
In their conversations with other wineries, GrapeGears pursued a processing partner with national capability, flexibility, transparency, cost-effective pricing and stellar customer support. They also wanted a partner that was familiar with the industry. PolyPay ticked all those boxes for its needs.
During a visit to Healdsburg, we learned more about their operations and how they differentiate themselves in the software and wine industry. That in-person conversation led to a formalization of our relationship and we continue to move forward together. Currently we are completing a full integration of both of our services.
This will not only benefit PolyPay and GrapeGears but also the end-user of the software so that they can streamline their operations onto a single platform while saving on their processing costs.
The intuitive software that GrapeGears provides, coupled with PolyPay’s knowledgeable and transparent processing services gives wineries peace of mind when it comes to handling their daily operations.
